Our Services
Comprehensive Eye Exam
A comprehensive eye exam includes testing visual function, binocularity and overall ocular health. During this exam your eye doctor discovers if there is a need for glasses, vision therapy, or further treatment for ocular health.
Contact Lenses
Contact lenses are a thin, soft material that lies directly on the surface the the eyes to correct vision. They are a wonderful option to correct vision and decrease dependency on corrective glasses. There are so many options available today to help your daily visual needs: myopia, astigmatism and even multifocals!
Diabetic Eye Exam
Diabetes is a metabolic condition where the body is unable to manage optimum levels of blood sugar. This condition affects the small blood vessels, especially in the retina of the eye. If left untreated, it can lead to blindness. Therefore, it is extremely important to have a retinal eye exam every year to monitor and treat changes over time
Dry Eye Treatment
Dry eyes affect millions of Americans every year. Symptoms range from the classic dry, sandy feeling to fluctuating vision with every blink, to even eyes that water up too much. Most common reasons are due to oil gland dysfunction, environment, allergies, and medications to name a few. Treatment options can very widely and are often personalized with each individual patient.
Age Related
Macular Degeneration
AMD causes central vision loss where fine details are blurred both distance and up close. It has genetic risk factors, however in some cases, environmental risk factors can play an even bigger role, such as in smoking and diet. Improving these conditions along with supplementation with supporting antioxidants may slow down the progression of AMD.
Glaucoma
Glaucoma occurs when the optic nerve is damaged over time eventually leading to vision loss. There are many types of glaucoma and the most common form is due to high eye pressure. The damage can occur slowly over time which may not be noticeable. A comprehensive eye exam will be able detect these changes. Early treatment has the best prognosis.
Computer Vision
Working on devices can lead to Computer Vision Syndrome due the continuous focus and re-focus of images on screens. This may cause eye strain, headaches, blurred or double vision, and red/dry eyes. Treatment and prevention includes correcting posture, more frequent breaks, and glasses to help eye fatigue and strain.
Ocular Emergencies
Eye emergencies include red eyes from pink eye, dry eyes, or allergies; sudden changes in vision; new floaters and/or flashing lights; among many other reasons. Patients are most likely seen the same day or next day depending on each individuals’ situation and urgency.
Cataracts
The lens inside the eyes eventually becomes cloudy as we get older, light cannot pass through like it should, and vision decreases. With many advances in technology, cataract surgery enhances vision, and intraocular lenses can be customized for the patient’s visual needs. We can set up the referral to our most trusted ophthalomolgists in the community and afterwards provide the post-operative care.
